Artist: Tomoe Title: Sumida River in Snow Date: 30s ~ 60s Size: Approximately 5.75 x 3.75 inches (postcard size) Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo Condition: Excellent. Unframed. Comment: There are similar Sumida River scenes by Hasui and Shotei. The print bears the Tomoe seal. Interestingly, "Tomoe" is the alternative reading of the first character ("Ha") in "Hasui." Thus, the seal likely indicates an homage by a Watanabe house artist (or possibly a work of Hasui himself). Free shipping for this item. |
