A rare creped print by Kyudo (signature and seal may also be read "Asahido") Title: Nitagawa no Yuki (Snowy Nita River) Date: Early 20th century. Size: Approximately 7.25 x 5.25 inches. Condition: Unframed. Excellent. There is natural shrinkage due to the creping process, which was favored in the early 20th century due to the superior durability of the prints. The creping throws off the scan and causes a red line to appear at the upper edge. The line is not actually there, as shown in the digital photo. The angularity of the rocks lends a more modern feel to this image. |
