Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) Shinagawa, 1931 Size: Oban. Approximately 15.25 x 10.5 inches. Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo. This print was acquired as part of a group including our Hasui 046, 047 and 049, all of which bear the 6mm lifetime seal (1946-1957). I can see what may be this seal in the lower right when angling the print near a light, but we will have to say that it is not there. There are cases in which this seal was not affixed. Condition: Very good color and condition. One light ripple. - A beautifully executed rain scene. |
